TTCS- Naloxone/Opioid Overdose Response Course

This 2.5 Hour initial response training course is designed for Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders including Detention/Corrections, Probation/Parole personnel, Animal Welfare/Zoning Enforcement Officers, and other government personnel who may encounter a victim of overdose during duty assignments.
Training is accredited through the NMDPS-LEA.

Course Focus:
Critical aspects for identifying and administering Naloxone/Narcan® to an opioid overdose victim and the potential exposures to Fentanyl or Carfentanil by a first responder in the field.

Fentanyl/Carfentanil Exposures to 1st Responders
NM Laws and House Bills
Signs, Symptoms & Indications for Administering Naloxone/Narcan
Pre & Post Administration guidelines and Officer Safety Protocols
Students participate in discussion, examine case examples, and demonstrate proper administration of Naloxone/Narcan® during a practical scneario.
