Training Sponsorship

Thank you for your interest in sponsoring our training courses.

Our focus is to bring training to your department and other departments in and out your area.

We collaborate with over 50 organizations and agencies that sponsor our training. Sponsors gain valuable benefits such as marketing and recognition of the agency, deligated free seats and/or reduced tuition costs for hosting our training in their local area.

Sponsorship Q&A:

Question - What are the considerations for bringing a training course to our area ?
Answer - All of our training courses must be appropriatley scheduled in order to fill classes and maximize the sponsoring agencie's benefits. We look at previous classes that were conducted in that area and other classes of the same type already scheduled that may be a conflict for attendance. Unless it's a Dedicated Training for an agency, we cannot do on-the-spot sponsor requests.
To have a better chance for sponsoring and getting training to your area we ask that agencies try to plan ahead 4-12 months in advance for sponsoring a class.
Question - I only have 2 people that will attend the class, as a sponsor will I automatically get the seats for free?
Answer - Before we can start to offering free seats, we require a minimum of 12-14 paid registrations whether from inside or outside the sponsoring department.
Question - Why do you require a minimum of paid registrations before offering free seats?
Answer - There are fixed costs for us to provide training that include but are not limited to advertising, student materials, teaching supplies, instructor costs, and travel. We have to make sure that we can meet our fixed costs before we can give an agency free seats.
Question - How many free seats can I get?
Answer - We appreciate our course sponsors and will always try to give as many free seats and/or reduced tuition as we can. The goal between TTCS and the sponsor is to get as many people into a class so we can offer more free seats and/or reduced tuition. The number of free seats can depend on the type, length, cost, and the maximum capacity for a specific training class.
Question - If my department sponsors a class what is our responsibility?
Answer - The sponsor is responsible for providing a classroom conduct training that will comfortably accommodate up to at least 30 participants with tables and chairs, some AV equipment, and to help in the advertising of the class through outside contacts and NCIC Training Bulletins. The key for any sponsor to maximize their benefits is to help fill the class to capacity.
Question - What is the responsibility of TTCS?
Answer - TTCS is responsible for developing the class brochure, posting the class on our website training calendar, faxing and  e-mailing class advertisements to over 600 contacts and agencies, receiving registrations, and billing for payment. We provide the instructor and any teaching and student materials for each class.
Question - What benefits will my department receive as a sponsor?
Answer - Monetary benefits include training budget savings on free seats, no travel costs for your staff to attend training, and we market the department by placing the name and/or logo on advertisements and student training manuals.
Question - Are there any other requirements for being a sponsor?
Answer - Sponsors need to be in an accessible area and close enough to available hotels and eating establishments of the training venue. Classes are scheduled based on need and/or other like and similar training classes during the same time as well as instructor availability.
Question - How does my department start the process for becoming a training sponsor?
Answer - You can click on the Sponsor Info button for additional information, the Sponsor Request button to submit your interest to us, or contact us by phone to discuss your interest.
